FAQ

F.A.Q.

Q: Has NeriumAD been tested for allergic reactions?
A: Yes. The product has gone through rigorous dermatological testing.

Q: Is NeriumAD a moisturizer?
A: The night cream is not but the day cream is. The night cream is meant as a night-time application and is not designed to moisturize, although there are certain ingredients that can help moisturize. NeriumAD day cream has 4 powerful moisturizing agents and the power of the nerium extract.

Q: Can I buy NeriumAD Day cream by itself?
A: No, NeriumAD Age-Defying Day Cream is meant to complement our flagship product, NeriumAD Age-Defying Treatment, which is used at night. Preferred Customers and Brand Partners will have the option of purchasing either the NeriumAD Age-Defying Treatment auto-delivery (ADO) or the 24-hour experience, with both the night treatment and day cream. However, once you have added the day cream to your ADO, you can also order single bottles of the day cream from your online account.

Q: How does the day cream affect the 3URFree program?
A: The 3URFree program is only applicable to the night cream.

Q: Why is there no SPF in NeriumAD day cream?
A: Nerium’s mission continues to be focused on science-based products that are effective and are compatible with the largest section of people (all ages, demographics, and skin types). All of these factors affect how much sun protection you need. Therefore, to make one product that would work for everyone, we decided to not include SPF. Also, in following leading research, we believe that for full protection from the sun it is in our users’ best interest to use a dedicated sunscreen, which provides the most thorough sun protection.

Q: Can I use NeriumAD with other products?
A: There should be no impact on efficacy, but you may want to test a small area with both products to see if there is any reaction to the combination. Whenever applying multiple products, use the following rules: Apply clearest first then to most opaque, and apply thinnest first then to thickest.

Q: Can I use NeriumAD on problem skin?
A: NeriumAD is a cosmetic and should not be used on problem skin without first testing a small area to ensure there is no reaction to the proprietary compound in the product. NeriumAD is not designed to treat or heal any problem skin issues, as it is designed as a cosmetic only.

Q: How should NeriumAD be stored?
A: The product is a cream and can be impacted by both heat and cold. It is suggested that the bottle be kept at room temperature as much as possible. Extreme heat and cold can impact any cosmetic product and NeriumAD is no different. If you find your product has been subject to one of these extremes (left in the trunk of your car), please ensure the contents have not changed color, consistency, or smell before applying or selling.

Q: Are there any dangers to children or pets from eating the product?
A: Dr. Robert Newman, scientific advisor to Nerium SkinCare, has said, “All pre-clinical and clinical research to date indicates that it is perfectly safe to use.”

Q: Does NeriumAD have an expiration date?
A: Currently there is no requirement for an expiration date on a cosmetic, but if the product is stored correctly, it should have a two-year shelf life. If it has not been stored properly, please ensure the contents have not changed color, consistency, or smell before applying or selling.

Q: Should I change the amount I use for different seasons or temperatures?
A: As with any skin product, environmental conditions can play a major role in impacting the condition of the skin. If your skin is sunburned or very dry, it is recommended that the amount of NeriumAD be reduced to compensate for more sensitive skin conditions.

Q: How often does Nerium change the formula of NeriumAD?
A: We only made one change to the formula in April of 2012, at which time we replaced the wheat protein with a quinoa protein to make the product gluten free.

Q: Why does NeriumAD appear different occasionally from one bottle to the next?
A: The NeriumAD product is formulated with natural plant proprietary compounds. From season to season, there are small variances in these plant ingredients.

Q: What is the mechanism that NeriumAD uses to reduce the appearance of wrinkles?
A: NeriumAD is a cosmetic. As such, it is not designed to make any structure changes to the skin.

Q: Are there genetically modified ingredients in NeriumAD?
A: Nerium has required suppliers who provide only non-GMO ingredients.

Nerium International™ (Nerium) is so proud of the rapid success of the breakthrough product, NeriumAD ® Age-Defying Treatment as well as the solid science, safety and research behind it.

The massive success of this product has caused some competitors to resort to providing misleading information to try to derail the success of not only NeriumAD, but Nerium International as a whole. The company stands behind its product 100% and would like to provide accurate information.

Below are several statements we wish to clarify that the company wishes to clarify:

Misstatement 1: “NeriumAD is not FDA approved.”

The FDA does not approve or review any cosmetic skincare products. This organization approves products classified as drugs. Link to Wikipedia explanation of FDA approvals as it relates to cosmetic products: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skincare#Skin_Care_Products

Nerium fully complies with all of the FDA’s regulations relating to cosmetics.

Misstatement 2: “MD Anderson does not endorse NeriumAD.”

Nowhere does Nerium represent that MD Anderson does endorse its product. Dr. Robert Newman, who is scientific advisor to Nerium Biotechnology, Inc., has served as the Founder and Co-Director of the Pharmaceutical Development Center at MD Anderson and has studied the Nerium oleander plant during the time he was on staff at the research center.

Misstatement 3: “NeriumAD is not safe.”

NeriumAD Age-Defying Treatment was formulated after more than 10 years of scientific research and clinical testing of the Nerium oleander plant by scientists and medical professionals.

The safety of NAE -8®, the Nerium oleander extract in NeriumAD , has been tested, documented, and confirmed throughout every phase of product testing. With the primary goal of product safety and quality, Nerium SkinCare, Inc. has taken great care with respect to the safety of their flagship product, NeriumAD .

Misstatement 4: “NeriumAD causes adverse reactions”

No product is suited for every person’s skin. Even though most ingredients in NeriumAD are naturally derived and although Nerium has performed years of research and taken immense precautions, any cosmetic or personal care product on the market can cause irritation or an allergic reaction in some people based on their skin sensitivity.

In one FDA survey, up to 25% of people said they had a skin reaction to at least one beauty product. NeriumAD is formulated with the safest and most effective age-defying ingredients, and has been used by nearly 1,000,000 consumers with very few users reporting any kind of adverse reaction due to normal skin sensitivities.

Therefore, NeriumAD is below the normal rate of reactions.

Misstatement 5: “NeriumAD does not work”

ST&T Research has strong clinical data that shows NeriumAD provides an average 30% reduction in the appearance of wrinkles and discoloration. To read our clinical trial report click here. NeriumAD also has great consumer results with a database of untouched real results pictures and stories.
